Mixed Media Experiments

Handmade, frame by frame, with room for imperfection

My mixed media practice grew out of my love of stop motion animation. After teaching myself the craft while making my award winning short film Hope Is Lost, I began exploring ways to bring that tactile, handmade quality into a more flexible and accessible form of animation.

Combining still images, moving footage, cut out shapes, textures and animated elements, I'm interested in the possibilities that emerge when different materials and techniques meet. I love the process of cutting, arranging and moving things by hand, and the unexpected details that make each piece feel alive.

For me, imperfection isn't something to smooth away. It's part of what makes an image feel human. I'm exploring ways to bring that sensibility into work that can be playful, distinctive and commercially minded, from visual experiments to commissioned projects.

LET’S WORK TOGETHER

I’m available for directing, animation and mixed media projects.
