This one-take music video is pure creative chaos, in the best way. I challenged myself to blend live-action with mixed-media animation, but I didn't want it to look too clean. So I scratched some frames by hand. Coloured others with marker pens. Scanned everything with black-lighting to make the scratched sections glow like neon scars. Each animation style tells a different story because I was experimenting with different papers, different techniques, different moods. It's messy. It's honest. And it's exactly the kind of work I want to make more of. If you're an artist or brand craving something handcrafted, imperfect, and full of soul, I'm your human.

Effy - ‘Silent Believer’ Music Video

This isn't just a one-take performance video; it's an immersive visual experience. Directed, edited, animated and shot by me (Eno Enefiok).

The video is a celebration of raw talent and lo-fi aesthetics, captured entirely in one continuous, uninterrupted take.

I chose to shoot this video using a classic Sony HDR-PJ410 camcorder, a beloved piece of kit for its distinct, nostalgic feel. The result is a beautifully authentic, home-video-style document that puts the focus squarely on Effy's captivating performance in the studio. The natural, handheld quality brings an intimacy to the screen that is often lost in highly polished productions, making this a truly raw and real music video.

But the magic doesn't stop there. To bring Effy's world to life, Eno wove in hand-drawn, mixed-media animations that briefly and beautifully intrude upon the live-action footage. These hand-animated sequences are seamlessly spliced into the video, creating a dynamic dialogue between reality and imagination. 

I carefully rotoscoped and composited these animated frames to ensure they feel like a natural, breathing part of the single take, blending the organic with the surreal.

This music video is more than just a visual for a song; it's a showcase of creativity. It combines the challenge of a one-shot music video with the retro charm of a vintage camcorder and the expressive freedom of mixed media animation. It's a video for fans of independent music, lo-fi visuals, and cinematic storytelling.
