ABOUT
I'm a storyteller first
I'm a film director, screenwriter and animator drawn to stories that see the world a little differently. I work across live action, stop motion, documentary and mixed media, letting each story dictate its own form.
I'm interested in the curious, the unconventional and the things that make us look twice. Whatever the medium, I'm always looking for the most interesting way to tell the story.
Nigerian born, Midlands raised, London based.
It started with MTV.
Growing up, I'd play MTV on mute while playing songs from my CDs, testing different visual styles against the music to see what felt right. Without really knowing it, I was teaching myself to think like a music video director: how images, rhythm and emotion could work together to create something greater than the sum of their parts.
That instinct to experiment has stayed with me. Whether I'm writing a script, directing a performance or bringing an idea to life through animation, I'm interested in what happens when a story finds its own visual language.
From the page to the screen.
I'm a screenwriter and an award winning filmmaker with experience developing stories for both screen and stage. For me, writing and directing are part of the same creative process. I'm interested in building stories from their earliest ideas through to their final form, bringing together character, visual storytelling and a distinctive point of view.
My feature screenplay ‘Anie Doesn’t Talk’ was a quarterfinalist in the 2021 Final Draft Big Break Screenwriting Competition. In 2019, my script Asylum won Best Live Script Reading at the British Urban Film Festival. I later adapted it into my stop motion short Hope Is Lost, which was nominated for Best Short Film at the 2025 BFI London Film Festival.
My short screenplay Cassette Tape was a quarterfinalist in the Film Bath IMDB Script to Screen Competition 2023 and well as an honorary mention at Reel Sisters of the Diaspora Film Festival & Lecture Series 2023, the first Academy Qualifying Film Festival for narrative shorts devoted to women of colour.
More recently, my short script Gag Order was long-listed for the Female Film Club Short Film Competition 2026.
My work often explores the space between the familiar and the surreal, with room for humour, discomfort and the unexpected. I'm drawn to stories that challenge expectations, explore the contradictions in the world around us and find unconventional ways to connect with an audience.
Alongside my writing and directing, I bring more than a decade of experience across creative production and filmmaking. I've worked on projects for brands including Google, Samsung and Nike, collaborating with creative teams to take ideas from development through to delivery.
My experience spans creative producing, directing, animation and production management. I understand both the creative ambition behind a project and the practical work required to realise it, from developing a concept and finding its visual language to bringing together the right people to make it happen.
My stop motion short Hope Is Lost took five years to make, using recycled materials to build its world frame by frame. The film premiered in competition at the BFI London Film Festival 2025, where it was nominated for Best Short Film among ten nominated films. It has since screened at BAFTA and Oscar qualifying festivals, and won the Crédit Mutuel Anjou Audience Award at Festival Premiers Plans d'Angers 2026.
I'm also developing The Useful Time Machine, a feature documentary that was long-listed for the 2026 Whickers Film & TV Funding Award. Documentary filmmaking gives me another way to explore real lives, perspectives and experiences, while continuing my interest in stories that challenge how we see the world.
These projects reflect what I love about filmmaking: finding inventive ways to bring ambitious ideas to life, whether through a script, a documentary, a live action film or an entirely handmade animated world.
Bringing stories to life.
